Babyflats:
Babyflats is a youth drum group with members from the Blackfoot Confederacy and a member from the Tsuu T’ina nation, made up of eight boys, ages 6 to 12. The group, formed in 2022 by Quaide Mountain Horse, is supported by dedicated parents who are passionate about cultural resurgence and healing from the impacts of residential schools. Babyflats travels extensively across Indian Country, proudly sharing their songs and advocating for Every Child Matters. Each member brings their own Nation’s dance style, including traditional, grass, and chicken dance styles. All Babyflats singers are descendants of residential school survivors, and the group stands as a symbol of cultural resilience, pride, and the strength of the next generation.
